Old Olive Street & Lindbergh Blvd to undergo major infrastructure updates
The 39 North District Master Plan, completed in 2016, sets a bold vision for access and circulation in the district. Old Olive Street Road is a critical part of that plan, to further establish 39 North as the preeminent global hub for the AgTech and plant science industries. Progress is being made on developing a Great Streets style plan that will enhance Old Olive into an even stronger corridor for the 39 North District.

The project, headed by Christner, is looking at how improvements can support the needs of businesses, commuters, visitors, and residents who will enjoy and benefit from an enhanced street – a street that supports people, cars and bikes. It will give residents, scientists, and startups a town square to congregate and move seamlessly through the District. This Old Olive Street redesign will reinvigorate a central part of St. Louis County by creating new retail, residential, and commercial real estate opportunities in Creve Coeur.

The launch of 39 North has been incredibly successful since inception. In fact, East-West Gateway awarded Sheila Sweeney, CEO of the STL Partnership, as well as the Mayors of Creve Coeur and Olivette, the exemplary collaboration for regional planning award to the 39 North core working team on this project. In addition to the Old Olive Street redesign project, planning for a greenway to connect Stacy Park to the Helix Center is now underway. The next goal is to redesign the Olive/Lindbergh Interchange. With companies spanning four continents already calling the district home, the area continues to bring top international talent in AgTech to 39 North as infrastructure plans further develop the area.
